This website
MetisKnowledgeLab.com is an informational site. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's request for the font files. If you write to us, we keep your message so that we can reply and follow up.
The learning platform
When you enroll in a program, we collect what the program needs to work: your name and email address; your progress, quick-check and assessment results; the notes, lab responses, and portfolio you create; and the record of your completion. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card, never the full card number.
Why we use it
To run the program for you, to issue your Completion Record, to reply when you write to us, to keep the platform secure, and, without identifying you, to understand how the programs are used so that we can improve them.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with the services that run the platform on our behalf, such as hosting and payment processing, and where the law requires.
Institutional enrollments
If you take a program through a college, university, employer, or other institution, that institution is responsible for your enrollment and your data, and its policies apply. Where the program runs on the institution's own learning platform, we do not receive your personal information at all.
Keeping it
We keep your account and records for as long as you have access to a program and for a reasonable period afterward, so that your Completion Record can be confirmed. You can ask us to close your account and delete your records at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to info@metisknowledgelab.com. We reply within a reasonable time and never later than the law requires.
Children
Our programs are intended for learners of college age and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its date.
